Echinox Journal is a biannual academic journal in world and comparative literature, dedicated to the study of the social, historical, cultural, religious, literary and arts imaginaries
Guidelines for authors
Echinox Journal encourages the geographical and cultural diversity of authors and editors. It hosts guest editors and contributors from all over the world, welcoming experts in the journal’s main fields of interest: comparative literature, world literature and imagination studies.
All articles should be written in English or French. Occasionally, depending on the topic of the issue, contributions may be accepted in Italian, Spanish or German. If written in a language different from English, all articles will provide an English translation of the title, an Abstract and Keywords in English, and a transcription into Latin characters of references cited in languages using non-Latin characters. The institutional affiliation, town, country and email of each author will be mentioned in the article.
The articles submitted for peer review should bring a significant contribution to the topic of the volume and to research in the respective domain. Such research should be original, not published previously, and each study should be provided with a list of references. In case of errors or mistakes, the authors are bound to submit retractions or corrections.
Contributors should follow the journal’s editing guidelines.
Echinox Journal will hold the copyright for the published papers for a period of 2 years after publication. After this period, the copyright for the published papers will be returned to the authors.
If an author considers republishing his or her paper in another form (in translation, in a book, etc.), he or she will give full bibliographical acknowledgement of the issue of Echinox Journal in which the article was originally published.
If an author has benefited from financial support, research grants, etc., he or she will give due acknowledgement to the sponsor.
Echinox Journal does not charge fees from authors.
Echinox Journal does not pay royalties.

Each author will receive a free courtesy copy of the issue he contributed to.
